Just weeks after he was announced as the star of a Broadway musical on the legendary illusionist Harry Houdini, Hugh Jackman has dropped out of the project. The BBC reports that the Wolverine star blames "scheduling demands," claiming he "wasn't able to commit to the time this role will require."
While it's likely just spin, Jackman adds, "I have tremendous respect and admiration for the creative team and I wish everyone the best... I know they're well on their way to making something extraordinary."
Jackman is the second big name to back out of the project -- Aaron Sorkin, who was to have written the script, also cited scheduling issues when he pulled out earlier this year.
