Toby Keith, Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw are on Forbes's list of the World's Highest Paid Musicians for 2013. Keith, who is perennially on the list, credits his work ethic for keeping him in the game.
"Since I started in '93, I've not come up for air. I've not missed a tour, I've not missed an album, not taken time off," he said. Keith added, "That's why we get mentioned in Forbes. And I always said, there probably be people who out write me and out sing me and be more successful, but they'll never out work me."
The criteria include earnings between June 2012 and June 2013 from tours, albums, merchandise, endorsements and other ventures.
Here's how the the Top 10 shook out:
- Madonna - $125 million
- Lady Gaga - $80 million
- Bon Jovi - $79 million
- Toby Keith - $65 million
- Coldplay - $64 million
- Justin Bieber - $58 million
- Taylor Swift - $55 million
- Elton John - $54 million
- (tie) Beyoncé, Kenny Chesney - $53 million
Tim McGraw came in at number-24, raking in $33 million.
